The National Civil Defense Service has launched ncds.gov.ss, bringing emergency advice, safety services and how to get involved together in one place.
The site explains the Service’s three core activities set out in the National Civil Defense Service Act 2022 — firefighting, search and rescue, and ambulance services — alongside disaster management and fire prevention.
Businesses can find out how to obtain a Practice Certificate, a Vehicle Safety Certificate or an extinguisher inspection sticker on the Safety Services page, and the public can read practical fire safety and first aid guidance.
In an emergency, the number to call remains 888, for fire, rescue and ambulance, 24 hours a day.
