From outside. Give the location clearly and say if anyone is trapped.

Never go back inside a burning building. Wait for NCDS and tell our crew immediately if someone is unaccounted for.

888. The same number reaches fire, search and rescue, and ambulance. Say what has happened, exactly where you are, and whether anyone is trapped or injured. Stay on the line until the operator tells you to hang up.

Providing safety and fire prevention training to communities is a core objective of NCDS. Contact us at info@ncds.gov.ss or through the enquiry form with the group, location and approximate numbers, and we will arrange a session.

Stop, drop and roll. Do not run — running feeds the flames. Drop to the ground, cover your face with your hands and roll until the flames are out. Cool the burn with clean running water and seek medical help.

If there is immediate danger, call 888. For a hazard that is not an emergency — blocked fire exits, unsafe storage of fuel, or a premises operating without certification — report it through our contact form. NCDS identifies and records premises with high fire risk potential as part of its mandate.
